Argus CU Analyzer: Snapshot Mode

This short video shows how rapidly a high-resolution X-ray photoelectron spectrum can be acquired by using the snapshot mode of the Scienta Omicron Argus CU analyzer. The snapshot mode can either be used for rapid data acquisition of single transitions or observation of dynamic spectral shifts caused by external variations, like sample temperature change or chemical reaction.

Laboratory Based Hard X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (HAXPES)

Laboratory Based Hard X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (HAXPES) Presentation for the American Physical Society (APS) March Meeting 2020, by Dr Marcus Lundwall and Dr Susanna Eriksson of Scienta Omicron. They share the features and capabilities of the HAXPES Lab, that is designed for high resolution XPS measurements with maximum intensity.

Materials Innovation Platform (MIP) for ORNL

This video features, Scienta Omicron´s latest: Materials Innovation Platform (MIP), integrating instrumentation for growth and detailed characterization of samples in-situ. The MIP enhances preservation of the sample quality by maintaining UHV conditions. The analysis and growth can be done at intermediate process steps and performed far more rapidly compared to separated instrumentation. This system comprises three Scienta Omicron modules: Tesla JT SPM; DA30 ARPES Lab; and Lab10 MBE.

Material Innovation Platforms (MIP)

Material Innovation Platforms (MIP) integrate instrumentation for growth and detailed characterisation of samples in-situ. Not only is sample quality preserved by maintaining UHV conditions, but analysis and growth can be done at intermediate process steps and performed far more rapidly than if the instrumentation was separated. Further, appropriate design of a MIP provides for expansion and exchange of capabilities as the research evolves. Working with a single supplier and partner to design, produce and support these MIPs ensures highest instrument uptime, ease-of-use and productivity.

Linear Transfer Line (LTL): Transfer Backbone

This video shows how the newly designed Linear Transfer Line (LTL) functions and explains how it removes length restrictions, providing for cost-effective, high quality expandability. It is composed of independent, moveable 3 m long segments, the LTL efficiently connects new and existing growth and analysis modules, maximizing lab space for materials innovation platform. It’s optimised pumping and quality design ensures true UHV Conditions while providing a high degree of configuration flexibility.
